It is the parent/guardian's responsibility to send a note to school or call when a student is absent.  It is very important to verify absences so they may be excused. Please put the date on the absence(s) and the student's first and last name.  If a call is not made to the school or a note is not received, then the student is marked unexcused.

If your child is going to be absent from school, please phone the school to inform them of the reason for their absence. The school number is 582-2868 ext. 102.

When a student who has been absent returns to school, he/she shall present a satisfactory explanation verifying the reason for the absence. Absences shall be verified by the student's parent/guardian, other person having control of the minor, or the student if age 18 or older. (Education Code 46012; 5 CCR 306)
More information on student absences can be found in the Student Handbook given to your child on the first day of school or upon enrollment.
